Rocco's BELATED 11 Month Photos

So my hard drive had a major KAPooie when I first edited these photos and I lost all of the edits.  Good thing I didn't lose the photos all together or this mama would have been superrrrrr mad/sad.  I may have even threw the hard drive outside but all is OK now, so no throwing was necessary.  We are up and running again!

About me...
approx 21lbs

8 teeth (4 bottom, 4 top) - I have one gorgeous smile!

ORNERY. Plain. and. simple.

Says, "hi" "hey" "baby" "bye"

Waves and says "Hi" at same time
and sometimes the same with "Bye"

Loves...
Watching cars, trucks, busses, etc

Baths

Dancing to songs

Crawling as fast as he can into the kitchen and makes a beeline for the dog food and water
(This obviously never gets old to him - Daily occurrence!)

Noodles, pasta, mac and cheese, bread, eggs, crackers, whole fruits,
veggies, beans, and tofu all day long for this boy.
(but he is picky like his mama, really won't eat the same thing two days in a row)

-------------------------------

Poor bubby was just getting over his real first nasty cold and infection.  He made it through all of winter without needing antibiotics but the beginning of spring just did him in.  Double ear infection. Boo!  He's still handsome though, sick or not.

When we took these photos Spring was just peaking her head through the sun.
What a LONG winter we had this year!

He wants to walk so bad but his long skinny legs just can't keep him up yet!

I dislike that these photos are late but they were taken on time!  And I highly dislike that he was just getting over his sickies but that's what photography is all about, capturing the moments where he is a little under the weather or beaming from ear to ear. It's real. It's our life.

Difference of one week! (photo recap)

Wow, seriously, the difference of just one week makes!  Weather towards the end of winter is just bonkers.   Here are a few photos from our past week. From sun to snow to sun again. :)

Beautiful spring like weather for a day or two.

We love our baths in this household.

And he loves being wrapped up tight in a towel.

It was Grandma's (Lola's) 50th Birthday and party this week!
This boy has his Lola wrapped around his little finger.

And then the snow came falling from the sky...
St. Patrick's Day

I just love this photo.  My face vs. Rocco's face.  Someone is not impressed...at all...

Somehow we ended up standing on a snowy beach after mom's birthday dinner at Agave in Lewes.
This was the best shot on this cold and windy day
and then I stepped into the picture...

 Our faces are just priceless!
Wonder who the crazy one was for suggesting this photo?

Now we are back to the first day of SPRING, and thank goodness! Let's hope this nice sunny weather continues on.

Rocco is slowly but surely terrorizing the house and the dogs.
He even went from standing next to the couch to climbing up on it.  (see below)

Yup, he did this all himself; climbed up onto the couch.  I'm in trouble now.

Now to just get ourselves out the house to enjoy the first day of spring.
Hey, it's even free italian water ice day at Rita's!

Rocco's 10 months and Week Recap

Rocco is officially 10 months old!! I'm not quite sure how to celebrate 10 months since February cheated and only has 28 days so I guess I'm a bit late.

About me...
20lbs 5.6oz
31.25" (off the charts!)
7 teeth (3 bottom, 4 top)

Crawls all over the house, TROUBLE on all fours. Into everything now!

Standing up next to anything he can pull himself with and cruising around the furniture

Waving buh-bye, Clapping hands, Giving high fives on command
Opens and closes his hand when you say "Open and Close"

Still gets very worried when dogs bark

Loves...
Baths

Yelling and Squealing

Dancing to songs

Singing into the karaoke microphone, watching Lolo sing karaoke, and falls asleep to Daddy singing karaoke

Pretending to read books

Lola chasing him around with her monster noises

Crawling as fast as he can into the kitchen and makes a beeline for the dog food and water
FOOD.
Pretty much all food but only wants to feed himself.  We can not spoon feed him any longer.
Having better success with those squeeze tubes of baby food that he can feed himself with. Otherwise its whole fruits, veggies, beans, and tofu all day long for this boy.
Oh, and he love love loves grapes right now.

Plain and simple. This boy is into everything now. Huge difference from just two months ago. It's nuts!!

We are over here dreaming of warmer days to come.

It's moments like this that I want to remember forever.
Those long legs of his wobbling from object to object.

 Enjoying a lovely winter sunset

Just a little grin likes this just melts my heart

Had our 3 month follow up Cardiology appointment this week to check on little mans' heart. The echocardiogram showed a small amount of growth with his aortic root but not as much as in past visits. Hope we continue down this path to eventually show no growth or minimal growth as expected for children.
It was adorable watching him play with toys and other children in the waiting area. My boy is getting older. *tear.

Here's a little video I took with my cell phone yesterday.
He's gets so excited now when you say "Wanna take a bath?"
and loves to mimic your sounds. :)

Rocco's 9 Months

We have this stud in our house, his name is Rocco, and he is now 9 months old!
We went with a half attempt of Valentine's Day themed photos but when we started to get red lipstick EVERYWHERE I threw it out the window and got the lollipop out, but then (you guessed it...) it was EVERYWHERE. Chucked the lolli and wiped away a few tears, and went back at it.  Photographing your own child is ridiculously hard!

He is also wearing red for Marfan Syndrome awareness month coming up in February.  Just a couple of days away.

About me...
20 lbs
31"
5 teeth (2 bottom, 3 top)

Says mama, dada & baba consistently

I am mobile now!! I can crawl!!
I can also pull up to standing position next to couch.

Making the cheese face and squinting

Waving buh-bye

Clapping hands

Giving high fives on command

Hugs mommy tight when dogs bark

Delaware Tree Farm Family Session - Carrow Family

Cheers to one more tree farm session! The Carrow Family.  They were so easy to photograph which of course made it hard for me to pick the "best" ones.  They had so many!

The Carrow family is made up of Harvey (Dad), Pam (Mom), Amber, and Mike. Pam brought along a cherished blanket that was given to her as a little girl from her Pop Pop.  It holds a great amount of sentimental value to her as whenever she needed her Pop Pop (who deceased shortly after giving her the blanket) would just wrap herself in the blanket to know he was there with her.  It is such a beautiful blanket!   The red is magnificently bright and I loved being able to showcase its beauty in the photos.

Love the look of love on Pam's face.  Her children are her everything.

Amber you are sooooo gorgeous.

 Hey blue eyes...

And then the sun was beginning to set...
 Love. this. photo.
HAPPY GENES

A beautiful photo to end their beautiful session.

Thank you for sharing your family with me! I hope you all enjoy these photos for a long time to come. And I hope who ever you were surprising them with loves them as much as I do.

Happy New Year & Rocco's 8 months

Happy New Year 2014!!

With the new year we bring along a mouthy 8 month old.

About me...
20 lbs
30"
3 teeth (2 bottom, 1 top)

Says mama & baba consistently

Shows off at the dinner table to his Lolo and his cousin Jared.

Flips the light switch off in his bedroom when we leave the room.

Mastered a fake choke, cough sound. (He's dramatic like his daddy)

Gets up on his knees and plays.  Getting close to crawling.
And he is even trying to pull up to standing position using the couch.

Hugs mommy tight when she is using the food processor.

Loves...
Baths. Squeals and wiggles his naked little body
out of our arms to get in the tub.

Drinking from his new sippy cups with the straw

Yelling

To play airplane with his Lolo, riding his new horsey his Lola got him for Christmas,
playing with Daddy, and hugging his Mommy at night.

Food! Wants whatever we are eating. You can't get anything passed him.
But we still feed him a lot of his baby foods and don't give him too much of what we are eating yet.  Maybe soon though.

 Our little ornery stud muffin

 His little smirk

We had an amazing holiday at home with family.  Rocco really seemed to enjoy opening presents and playing with his new toys.   We had a truly special first Christmas with him. He was amazing even with only a few naps in between.  He just loves everyone fussing over him.

This little boy is proving to be quite a little character. He watches everything we do, so I'm guessing now would be a good time to watch what we do too.  Can't wait to see what the upcoming months in 2014 bring.  We just hope for good health and happiness!!
