Day Trippin' to DC

Hello!! Why have I not known how easy it was to access Washington DC before now?!?! I never knew that it was that easy to access the city before now.  From Delaware, drive to New Carrolton, MD, park in the lot or garage right at the station, buy an $8 round trip ticket into the city on the Orange line, get off on the Smithsonian metro stop. Boom. You're there! Oh and on weekends parking is free at the lot at the train station. HELLO. I'm seriously mad I never knew it was this easy and cost efficient. Ever just need a little escape from the mundane, bada bing, DC is your place!  I have just fallen in love with the city. The Smithsonian Museums are free of charge, the National Zoo is free of charge, again HELLO?!? Rocco always just sits back and enjoys the ride. A good side note...wear your walking shoes.

The flower Rocco picked for me. <3

Have fun and Happy Spring!!

Spring Blossoms

Well I hope everyone enjoyed that ONE week of spring we had. Seriously almost lost it when I woke up to ice on the grass a few days ago.  Just trying to be hopeful that the return of spring will be back soon and in full force with staying power. Pretty please Mother Nature???

We at least enjoyed the few days we had of sunshine and warmth.  Just happened to be riding through downtown Dover and spotted this beautiful magnolia tree.  Decided to take in its beauty.  Wish I had played with it longer.  But this is what we got...

I'm obsessed with HIM.  And here's to brighter days filled with spring blossoms and sunshine!

Rocco's BELATED 11 Month Photos

So my hard drive had a major KAPooie when I first edited these photos and I lost all of the edits.  Good thing I didn't lose the photos all together or this mama would have been superrrrrr mad/sad.  I may have even threw the hard drive outside but all is OK now, so no throwing was necessary.  We are up and running again!

About me...
approx 21lbs

8 teeth (4 bottom, 4 top) - I have one gorgeous smile!

ORNERY. Plain. and. simple.

Says, "hi" "hey" "baby" "bye"

Waves and says "Hi" at same time
and sometimes the same with "Bye"

Loves...
Watching cars, trucks, busses, etc

Baths

Dancing to songs

Crawling as fast as he can into the kitchen and makes a beeline for the dog food and water
(This obviously never gets old to him - Daily occurrence!)

Noodles, pasta, mac and cheese, bread, eggs, crackers, whole fruits,
veggies, beans, and tofu all day long for this boy.
(but he is picky like his mama, really won't eat the same thing two days in a row)

-------------------------------

Poor bubby was just getting over his real first nasty cold and infection.  He made it through all of winter without needing antibiotics but the beginning of spring just did him in.  Double ear infection. Boo!  He's still handsome though, sick or not.

When we took these photos Spring was just peaking her head through the sun.
What a LONG winter we had this year!

He wants to walk so bad but his long skinny legs just can't keep him up yet!

I dislike that these photos are late but they were taken on time!  And I highly dislike that he was just getting over his sickies but that's what photography is all about, capturing the moments where he is a little under the weather or beaming from ear to ear. It's real. It's our life.
